In dense urban and port areas with heavy 5G signal coverage, traditional LNB frequency filtering cannot fully block leaked spatial interference, limiting C-band satellite reception stability in extreme scenarios. Based on electromagnetic wave regulation research, a passive C-band antenna metasurface spatial interference suppression structure has been developed to block 5G interference at the antenna spatial layer, complementing the limitations of single RF filtering solutions.
Installed at the front of antenna feed systems, the low-profile metasurface structure effectively suppresses direct and reflected 5G interference within 3.4–3.7 GHz, achieving precise spatial isolation without sacrificing 3.7–4.2 GHz satellite bandwidth or reception gain. Featuring passive, maintenance-free and plug-and-play characteristics, it is compatible with all types of FSS earth stations and VSAT terminals. Combined with 100MHz guard band LNBs, it forms a dual protection system of “spatial isolation + frequency filtering", greatly improving link margin and operational stability for satellite terminals in high-density 5G environments.
