Latest company news about Tech Brief: Development of 17.6–26.7GHz Wideband Ka-Band Low-Noise MMIC Chip

With the large-scale commercial application of new-generation Tbps-level Ka-band high-throughput satellites such as ViaSat-3, traditional narrowband Ka RF chips suffer from limited bandwidth and high noise figure. They fail to support full-band 17.6–26.7GHz wideband reception and cannot meet the high-bandwidth and high-stability requirements of maritime and aviation satellite communication scenarios. To break through hardware performance bottlenecks, the industry has completed the R&D and engineering verification of 17.6–26.7GHz wideband Ka low-noise MMIC chips.

Adopting advanced millimeter-wave semiconductor technology, the chip optimizes gate structure and circuit topology to suppress high-frequency parasitic parameters, realizing ultra-low-noise amplification across the full Ka band. It significantly mitigates signal degradation caused by rain fading and link loss at high frequencies. Supporting continuous ultra-wideband reception from 17.6GHz to 26.7GHz, the chip delivers stable gain and excellent phase noise, perfectly adapting to DVB-S2X high-order modulation demodulation and WR42 standard wideband Ka LNB systems. It effectively improves terminal reception sensitivity and link stability while reducing power consumption, providing core hardware support for the mass production and popularization of lightweight, high-performance full-band Ka VSAT/FSS terminals.
